2020 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup is scheduled from 21st February 2020 to 8th March 2020 in Australia. This is the seventh edition of the Women’s T20 World Cup. The first edition was played in 2009 in England and it was won by England by beating New Zealand in the final. Last time, the T20 World Cup took place in West Indies in 2018 where Australia emerged as winners and England were the runners up. A total of ten teams will be playing in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020. India, Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, West Indies, Sri Lanka, England were automatically qualified for the tournament based on the finishing positions in the previous T20 World Cup. Bangladesh and Thailand secured themselves the final two spots by performing good in the 2019 World T20 Qualifier tournament, which took place in Scotland in August-September 2019. This is the first time that Thailand will be participating in any kind of cricket World Cup tournament.

The ten teams playing in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020 are divided into two groups-A and B.

India and Australia from Group A and South Africa and England from Group B have qualified to play in the semi-finals of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020.

The two semi-finals will be played on March 05, 2020. 

India will face England in the semi-final-1 and South Africa will take on Australia in the semi-final-2.

The 2020 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup will begin on February 21, 2020, with host Australia taking on India at the Sydney Showground Stadium in Sydney. Defending champions Australia will look to retain the T20 World Cup and will have the home ground advantage.
