Host South Africa are playing their second ODI of the series against Australia at the Mangaung Oval ground in Bloemfontein.

Australia won the toss and decided to bat first.

Heinrich Klaasen’s maiden international century guided South Africa to a 74-run win in the first ODI against Australia in Paarl on Saturday.

Australia will like to win this match and keep the series alive.

Earlier Australia had played a three-match T20I series too on this tour of South Africa. They had won the T20I series 2-1. Australia had won the first T20I by massive 107 runs, then South Africa made a comeback winning the second T20I by 12 runs and then Australia won the T20I series by registering another massive win by 97 runs in the third T20I.

SA vs AUS 2nd ODI 2020 Updates So Far

So far in the second ODI, Australia, batting first had a pretty quick start. But in the 7th over, Australia lost the first wicket in the form of David Warner who scored 35 runs from 23 balls, hitting 4 fours and 1 six. Australia were 50/1 in 6.3 overs at that stage.

Opener and captain made 69 runs in 87 balls, before getting catch-out on the bowling of Anrich Nortje. Aaron Finch hit 6 fours and 2 sixes in his sensible inning.

Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschange failed to continue the good start. Smith got out on 13 runs from 17 balls while Marbus Labuschagne got out on a golden duck.

Both wickets were taken by Lungi Ngidi. Lungi Ngidi had also taken the first wicket of David Warner,

Later D’Arcy Short and Mitchell Marsh played sensible knocks of 69 runs from 83 balls, hitting 5 fours and 36 runs from 45 balls, hitting 3 fours respectively.

Short got out on the bowling of  Tabraiz Shamsi and Marsh got out on the bowling of Andile Phehlukwayo,

Later Lungi Ngidi took his 4th wicket in the form of Ashton Agar.

At the end of 50 overs, Team Australia made 271 runs all-out, with Mitchell Starc getting out on the final ball of the innings.

Proteas now need 272 runs to win in 50 overs.
